The Interplay between Calcium and Strontium in Chinese Cabbage under Normal and Low Calcium Conditions

The structure and chemical properties of strontium calcium are similar. To study the interplay between in plants, different concentrations SrCl 2 (0, 1, 4, 10 mmol·L −1 ) were added to Hoagland nutrient solution with 4 Ca 2+ (normal level or 0.4 (low-level ), which used cultivate Chinese cabbage seedlings. Under low-level condition, not only did promote growth but showed more severe toxicity compared that under normal condition. although was significantly inhibited by strontium, show significant toxicity. However, 1 caused a decline plant biomass photosynthetic activity.
